Wildwassertechnisch ok, Landschaftlich aufgrund der Verbauungen und Uferbefestigungen nicht so schön.

Sehr schöne Strecke, vor allem wenn auf den Lammeröfen viel Wasser ist.

bei 550m3/s ist Surfwelle nach der Mühli wunderbar für lange wie kurze Boote.
Die Welle oberhalb der Mühli geht nur mit langen Booten >230cm

Die Rovana di Bosco hat einen komplett anderen Charakter als die Rovana di Campo. Sie ist viel kleiner, schmäler und hat kaum Grundgestein (alles kleines Gröllgestein) und führt auch viel weniger Wasser.

In den Bildern sieht man 2 Stellen ca. 300m vor dem Ausstieg. Aufnahmen bei Verzasca-Pegel von 7.6m3/s = Rovana die Campo bei unterem NW.

Ich betrachte sie nicht wirklich als lohnenswert. Es muss wohl schon HW in der Region herrschen, damit da was läuft. Und wenn es fahrbar aussähe, wird es wohl eine ziemliche Autobahn mit wenigen und kleinen Kehrwassern.
Achtung auf Holz!

Die Zufahrt ins Tal der Rosanna bis zum Verwallsee (bzw. Busstation Salzhütte) ist tgl. bis 09:00 Uhr und abends ab 18:00 oder 19:00 Uhr für den Autoverkehr geöffnet. Es fährt ein kostenfreier Linienbus ab St. Anton bis Endhaltestelle Salzhütte, ob die Mitnahme von Booten möglich ist, ist nicht bekannt. Auch sind die Zufahrtszeiten unverbindlich und können sich ständig ändern. Am Besten früh morgens die Straße bis zur Schranke hochfahren und dort parken.
Der Ausstieg befindet sich bei der Pegelbrücke, welche zugleich auch das Ende der Autofahrt bedeutet.
Charakterlich ist der Oberlauf der Rosanna ein kleiner, wunderschöner Wildbach in einer traumhaften alpinen Landschaft.
Der Einstieg befindet sich nach einer strapaziösen Tragerei von 3km, wenn sich der Forstweg wieder der Rosanna nähert.

This wave only appears at flood levels, which bring wood of all shapes and sizes down the river. This is particularly true when the river is rising or just after the peak.

Full-size logs are to be expected. Partial trees complete with branches are not unknown. Very occasionally so much wood arrives that the river becomes unusable for many minutes.

At Joggeli it is impossible to see upstream from the bottom of the wave while surfing, and visibility is marginal (at very best) from the top of the wave.

Please take one less risk. Everyone bring a whistle. Organize the group so that paddlers waiting upstream will warn the surfing paddler about approaching wood.

120 cumecs (dropping) at Birs - Münchenstein, Hofmatt. Est 110 cumecs at the wave.

A steep surging wave with a violent foam pile.

The wave starts to green out more frequently once the level drops below (say) 110 on the gauge.

Fast, long boats can front-surf down to about 90 cumecs.

Diese und nächste Saison sind wohl die letzten beiden um die Finstermünzschlucht bei natürlichem hohem Sommerwasserstand zu befahren. Ende 2018 soll das KW in Betrieb gehen.

Das Wehr entsteht hier: N 46.90455, E 10.47758

Das Finstermonster und die IV-er Stellen davor versaufen nicht im Stausee, werden aber arg gezähmt. Es können max. 75m3/s durch den Stollen abgeleitet werden.
Allerdings soll auch ein dynamisches Restwasser-Management betrieben werden, das sich proportional zum natürlichen Fluss in St. Moritz verhalten soll. Die Spitzen werden sich aber wohl höchsten im Bereich von max 30-40m3/s bewegen. Minimal sollen immer 10m3/s im Sommer abgegeben werden.

Ich denke während dem Wehrbau wird ein Fahrverbot beim Einstieg in Martina hängen (war 2015 schon so). Man sollte sich wohl einen neuen Einstieg nach dem Wehr suchen.

The level was quite high but still ok for a team who knows the section or a solid team of paddlers.

I recommend people to read the evo guide before running this section. There is a rapid towards the end of the section which is quite difficult to carry. It is necessary to scout this rapid (two siphons).

It is also possible to stop before this rapid at the Cublaise weir.

The level was quite high but still ok.

4 cumecs (dropping) on the gauge at Scheulte - Vicques.

All navigable at this level. There are river wide trees at shoulder height. These are potential portages at higher water.

The easier upper and lower sections were rather scratchy. Definitely below MW-min and maybe around the lower limit (LW) for these sections. I can't say for the short gorge section.

Paddled with 40 m³/s on the BAFU Combe des Sarrasins gauge, dropping to 35 m³/s.

Nice quality class IV.

We ran it on the 16/04/2016.

Level: 12,4m3/s in Bassignac (SP DIREN) and 60cm in St Floret (Vigicrue)

We portaged the dam. Otherwise everything was fine. The gorge is really nice. Be careful with the trees and with the cables (on the left side after the gorge).

Run on the 17/4/16 with 60cm in St Yrieix le Déjalat. Short but nice section. Low water level.

Run on the 17/04/2016 with 60cm in St Yrieix le Déjalat. It was a good level. We started in the Egletons lake.

Great class III+ run. We carried a small dam, the main dam and a tree (at the end of the section).

Be careful with the stones after the dam. It becomes a class IV in this area.
