Walked over the ford, then along river right below the dam to get to the put in.

Es gibt einen neuen Camper-Stellplatz/Parkplatz am Ausstieg. Er ist gebührenpflichtig (Unauffällige tafel hinter dem Parkplatz, siehe mitte Bild).
Bitte unbedingt bezahlen und natürlich NICHT in's Fahrverbot zur Fassung fahren. Sonst könnte das Tal am Ende ein Fluss-Fahrverbot anstreben wollen, wegen zu viel negativem Einfluss.
Viele Bewohner des Tals sind so schon schlecht auf Paddler zu sprechen, weil zu oft durch Wiesen getrampelt und reingekackt wurde.

Heute befahren bei 85-90cm - ein Baum, welcher sehr schwer zu umtragen ist.
Keine Lawine vor Seilpark.

Des arbres sur la gorges moyenne et basse! Ça passe mais restez vigilant, ils bougent.

Large tree at the exit of the rapid in the Gerignoz Gorge. It cannot be seen from the bridge. Paddled it at 52cm, and the tree is mostly underwater but floats to boat height every 15-20 seconds. Gorge is passable if you portage river right, take eddy river right immediately after bridge.

The tree in the 3rd gorge at Chaudanne is no longer there. Gorge looks clear from the bridge, and from the small path that goes down to the gorge

Der querliegende Baum in der Engstelle rechts nach dem Eisensteg hat sich abgesenkt und blockiert bei wenig Wasser die Durchfahrt wieder komplett. Ab ca. 13 Kubik ist er überfahrbar. Unbedingt vorher anschauen. Er ist je nach Wasserstand kaum zu sehen.

Super WW Strecke bis zum Wehr. Eher V mit IV Stellen. Eine V Stelle ist eher eine Zwangspassage aber relativ unproblematisch, da dahinter ruhig. Umtragen 15 Minuten über steile rechte Seite möglich.
Ab dem Wehr viele unfahrbare und schwer zu umtragende teils gefährliche Stellen. Haben in der Mitte abgebrochen und 100hm zur Straße hochgetragen.

Lohnt nicht bei NW. Ist dann I-II.

From there you have to carry the boat approximately 1km upstream following a hiking path. Descend to the river at the second side stream that you cross.
The ckfiumi description (https://www.ckfiumi.net/fiume.phtml/396) is still accurate as is the grading III-IV (V/P). The (V/P) is one rapid in the narrow upper part that features a strong hydraulic and pinning potential. It is difficult to set safety, strenuous portage on the right.

The status of the wave/hole depends not just on the reported flow, but also on how much water is released by the side channel (no gauge there unfortunately). In general when there is much height difference in the water levels above and after the weir, then the hole closes and becomes very sticky and dangerous.
However, when this happens a second wave forms some 15/20 meters after the main hole. That wave has so far been very safe and fun to surf.
