Unterhalb 30cm wird der Abschnitt phasenweise unfair weil manche Stellen nur mit Kontakt von Paddler oder Boot zu fahren sind.

Abschnitt ist aktuell ohne Lawinen oder Bäume versperrt. Umtrager war nötig wegen Syphonen und unsauber. Beim Drop ist links eine große Unterspülung. Ansonsten eine klasse Abschnitt!

Einschränkungen für die Kleinschifffahrt auf der Limmat im Raum Baden - Obersiggenthal



Im Rahmen von Unterhaltsarbeiten im Oberwasser des Kraftwerks Kappelerhof werden im Staubereich zwischen dem Oederlin-Areal und der Siggenthalerbrücke beide Ufer der Limmat saniert und strukturiert. Die Arbeiten erfolgen von einem Motorboot aus. Während der Bauzeit ist mit Einschränkungen für den Bootsverkehr zu rechnen.

Die Bautätigkeiten beginnen am 19. August 2019 und dauern bis voraussichtlich Ende Oktober 2019. In dieser Zeit sind Flussfahrten in beiden Richtungen nur unter erschwerten Bedingungen möglich. Einschränkungen werden signalisiert und sind zwingend zu beachten.

Grundsätzlich wird am linken oder rechten Ufer eine Fahrgasse offen gehalten. Die Fluss­seite, auf welcher sich die Fahrgasse befindet, sowie die Fahrbahnbreite ändern sich je nach Stand der Arbeiten. Flussfahrten ab dem 19.08.2019 bis Ende Oktober zwischen dem Kraftwerk Aue und dem Kraftwerk Kappelerhof sind wie folgt eingeschränkt:

· Montag bis Sonntag: Durchfahrt nur in Ufernähe anhand Signalisation auf eigene Ver­antwortung gestattet.

Die Flusssignalisation bei der Baustelle wird dem Stand der Arbeiten angepasst und ist zwingend zu beachten.

The dam at the put-in has been completed and is now operational. See picture.
It's not 100% clear when the water is diverted: we put in at 5pm and the gates were open (all water flowing through) but when we got back up for a second run at 6.30pm the gates where closed with the water level being ~5cm less (still runnable but quite rocky)

Wir haben am Sonntag 11.08.2019 ein Lettmann Carbon Split Paddel mit Ergo-Schaft gefunden, etwa 50m vor der Umtragestelle. Wer das verloren hat kann sich gerne melden.

The PutIn of this section is hard to find. It is at a tiny parking spot along the road, a very tiny footpath leading downhill.

It is also possible to drive the road 300m further up. There is a bigger parking spot to the left and a private road leading down to Renaskarven (watch the roadsign). Walking down to the river here is easier, but longer.

This section only makes sense to be run when you continue and run the gorge as well. Finding the TakeOut from the boat is almost impossible, so you would need to scout it before your run - and getting to the river and back up is very exhausting.

Of course, when this section has enough water, the gorge will be quite difficult.

Parking at TakeOut costs 50 NOK. The owner of the land does not like cars stopping, even for some minutes. It is better to park halfway down the gravel road and carry the boats for 200m.

Achtung, demnächst erfolgt eine betriebsbedingte Öffnung des Wehrs WF Tavanasa!

150cm at Ruffieux and 180cm at Lagnieu (vigicrue) was medium+ or hight water for us. I don't know if there is a correlation between these stations and the spot.

Tree across the entire Lammer at the entrance and exit of the “Katarakt/Cataract”.

Log sticking out from 2nd rapid before the last one. Looked troublesome today as no opportunity to really avoid. This was the reason why we skipped Lammeröfen today :(

Tree warning: Lammeroffen at 58cm:
1. branches stick out from water after entry section (runnable, but potential risk for swimmer from entry section)
2. big tree at start of the "S" cataract, to be portaged on the right
3. small tree at the end of "S" cataract, at our level could be paddled under.
4. tree in left channel of next rapid - take middle one or chicken on right.
5. log sticking out from 2nd rapid before the last one - can be avoided
Additional comment: The last rapid (the narrow one) looks really nasty at this level though no wood was visible.
