Walked up along the river two days ago without boats. To get to the Putin for this section you need to walk for about 1hr along a mountain path. There is a refuge near the Putin to have lunch. Then mainly very continuous shallow grade 3 with some harder rapids. Maybe better with more water. Very pretty, but i would recommend as a walk rather than a kayak - especially given it is in the ecrins National park.
