At 95cm (@Agordo) all major rapids are class IV

Even if the gauge seems to be perfectly placed at the put-in, it's still upstream of a couple of potentially major tributaries so care must be taken: especially in case of heavy rains the level in the river could be way higher than shown by the gauge

A tree blocking the whole river a bit after putting in has been reported. Also further down where the rivers splits into different channels utter care must be taken since some of the channels are blocked either by trees or river-wide cables and they only be seen after entering the channel. Precise location of these dangers is not known

Following the recent heavy rains: at 160cm is fully flooding, at 100cm is more of a continuous class IV (with trees and cables strewn across the river) than a III-IV. More observations at lower flows are needed to adjust the calibrations.

Bootstransport mit den Rhätischen Bahnen (RhB)

Jetzt (im November 2023) fahren noch die letzten Züge mit den geliebten alten Gepäckwagen.
Nachher ist definitiv fertig damit.

Für den Bootstransport gibt es jedoch weiterhin die Tickets für Wassersportfahrzeuge (Fr. 12.- Einzel Fr. 15.- Tageskarte).
In den neuen vierteiligen Triebzügen gibt es in allen vier Zugteilen unterschiedlich grosse Multifunktionsabteile für Sportgeräte, Gepäck etc.
Trotz grösseren Bemühungen ist es leider aktuell nicht möglich, von den RhB verlässliche Informationen zu kriegen, wie diese Abteile für den Bootstransport genutzt werden können und dürfen. (Anzahl Boote, maximale Dimensionen etc.)

Nachfolgend unsere sehr provisorischen Informationen über die Transportmöglichkeiten.
Diese Angaben sind keine offiziellen Angaben der RhB und ohne jegliche Gewähr.
Das grösste Multifunktionsabteil befindet sich in einem der beiden mittleren Zugteile.
Darin lässt sich etwa folgendes unterbringen, vorausgesetzt, es ist nicht anderweitig belegt:
ca. 3 bis 4 WW-Tourenboote, Playboote, kurze Solokanadier oder ähnliches.
Wie es mit Abfahrtsbooten, Tandemkanadiern, Slalombooten etc. aussieht, ist ungewiss.
Inwiefern die kleineren Multifunktionsabteile in den anderen Zugteilen für Bootstransport nutzbar sind, können wir hier nicht sagen.

Run on 4/11/2023 at 28 cm, putin in village Masanti di Sotto. All clean but the big rapid at the landslide deserves a close look (we portaged). Otherwise fantastic river. The dam at the take-out was releasing and the section below looked good to paddle as well. Team Nirjhara

Run 3/11/2023 at 210cm. We aborted the run after 1km after second riverwide tree. Portage very difficult at river level. Inspection from the road showed more trees in the lower part. Watch out! Team Nirjhara

Run 30/10/2023 at 215cm, medium level. Nice run, all clear. Team Nirjhara

Run 31/10/2023 at 80cm, level going down. This was too low, maybe better to check the Upper Taverone instead.

Run 31/10/2023 at 85cm, good medium level. All clear, very nice section! Second run in 25min. Team Nirjhara

Run 1/11/23 at 210cm, a bit rocky but still feasible. Upper part mostly clean, some bushes&trees in the lower 2km. Team Nirjhara

Alles völlig holzfrei und gut fahrbar. Wir sind bei 4,8 Kubik gepaddelt. Alles richtig wuchtig und trotzdem problemlos zu fahren.

!!! Attention, c’est vraiment sous côté. C’est plus du IV V avec infran suivant le niveau d’eau!!!! Les parties classées V sont dans les 2 gorges. Une chute non portable avec un rappel à gauche dans la seconde gorge
Be careful, it’s not III IV, it’s IV V and (X) dépends the level!!! The classes V are in the 2 gorges near the start and near the end. One waterfall mandatory in the second gorge.

Cuando en el aforo de Campo hay mas de 25m3s es muy posible que el Congosto de Seria se pueda remar, ya que la presa de Campo solo puede soltar 20m3s, y cuando hay mas agua si o si viene de Seira.
Ventamillo nunca se sabe al 100% pero también es posible que este activo con 25m3s en campo.
