Activity: Coordination of states and stakeholders in lower Mississippi River basin on hypoxia policy

Geographic location: States in the lower Mississippi River basin (Arkansas, Lousiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee)

Brief activity description: The Lower Mississippi River Sub-basin Committe on Hypoxia was formed in 2003 as part of the national Gulf Hypoxia Action Plan. It involves the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee, along with federal partners and interested stakeholders, in a process of communication and coordination aimed at helping to implement the Hypoxia Action Plan in the lower river basin.
