St. Clair County Greenspace FoundationContact Activity: Tree planting, demolishing condemned buildings and letting the land revert to forested bluffs and the removal of invasive species Geographic location: Mississippi River Bluffs (forested) in St. Clair County Brief activity description: The St. Clair County Greenspace Foundation is a non-profit Land Trust, founded in 1990, dedicated to the preservation of forests, wetlands and prairies in the county for the purposes of conservation, education and recreation. Of the approximately 50 acres we own, almost all of it faces the Great American Bottom (flood plain) overlooking the City of St. Louis, Missouri. We are letting our lands revert to natural river bluffs. Primary goals or focus:
